Regret buying this unit

We bought this to replace an 18 year old microwave that recently died. This gets the job done but we regret buying it. The wattage is lower than our old microwave and I didn™€™t realize how big of a deal that was to have a lower wattage unit.We™€™re still trying to figure out the correct cooking times for our frequent meals. Another problem is that the clock doesn™€™t stay on. It will turn off a short time after using it and then randomly turns on when we aren™€™t using it. I™€™m not it sure if it™€™s broken or if that™€™s just how it is. The light in the microwave and on the bottom are also very dim. We would have returned this but the store has a 50% restocking fee.

Every time throughout my life when starting over with a new microwave I would dread the learning curve. Trying to read a manual is hard for me for some reason because I™€™ve always been a hands on kind of person. With this microwave everything was easy. After just a few times I had it down. Setting the time is always the first thing I™€™d do and the way it™€™s programmed makes complete sense. I especially love it when I want to reheat something and I touch 3 and it starts cooking for three minutes. This one is the best one I™€™ve ever had.
