Not happy with air conditioner at all. I have a Toshiba 5K BTU in my bedroom that makes the room cold. I expected this one to at least make the living/dining room cool but its still too hot to be comfortable. Im quite disappointed. The LP1419IVSM is an excellent portable air conditioner for approximately 500 ft/sq. Its not too noisy in fact very quiet compared to some of the others and its a smart device. You can control it with the LG ThinQ app for iPhone or Android if you would like. If youre using the app you can set schedules and see estimated energy usage / costs as you go.

This LG was really easy to set up looks nice and not messy plus my sister has 2 of these units in her home and so this was a strong motivator for purchasing the LG...I especially like that I can use it on DRY mode when I dont need to cook the room but only dehumidify the air...and its runs quieter on this setting.

This air conditioner is very quiet as advertised and cools well. The installation was easy in the window I have although trying to make out the directions was the hardest part. They were much more confusing than the actual installation. The only real issue I have is theres no energy saver mode. I should have researched a little more carefully as that is a big plus when youre going to be gone all day. I just assumed a unit of this price and BTUs would have that feature. I have animals so need to keep iy cool for them but would be 5 stars if the unit could pause itself when it reaches the desired temperature.

This air conditioner works great for cooling the bed room allowing for a good nights sleep. The sleep mode is nice in the Pacific NW where the nights cool off. The temperature rises every half hour so the room does not get to cold. The timer is also great as it will shut off the AC automatically. Window vent was easy to install. Somewhat quiet.

I am impressed about how quick and good is this product when cooling your space. I live in MA and in summers we have some very humid and hot days. This LG portable air conditioner has been a must in my house. Its not too noisy bearable. Its a bit heavy but having the capacity of cooling a place quick I dont mind the one extra pound. It has wheels so you can just moving around from one room to another in the same building. Also work with Alexa now I can ask Alexa to turn the LG conditioner from whenever I am. I am in love with this AC unit. Aside from having storage for all the parts so that you dont have to go searching for parts after winter storage it is quiet and strong. I have it in my living room and it cools off my 2 bedrooms the bathroom and the kitchen when I have all doors open. I have it set at 70 and it does an amazing job even with a 68 inch TV running 24/7 and lights open occasionally.

Quiet and Efficient Unit

I have owned three of these units from other brands but this one is by far the quietest and most efficient one I have purchased so far. The remote is also more accurate than the other units. I highly recommend this model to anyone looking to cool a large room or smaller room and hallways.

Definitely a keeper

We bought this about a month ago when our upstairs AC unit went out and had to be replaced. We put in it our upstairs bedroom which is 15 x 11 with a vaulted ceiling in the southern US during summer. In other words it had to work hard. And it came through for us allowing us to sleep comfortably at night. There are plenty of options and you can use the LG Thinq app to control it - which I already have for our washer. Noise level depends on how high the fan is set - we have it on high because it makes wonderful white noise for sleeping undisturbed. If I ran it on high in a room where I was trying to hear the TV or something it might be a problem - but any AC unit would be that way. Now that the central AC is working upstairs we have moved it to the guest house upstairs which has central air but it still gets warm upstairs. That room is 20 x 11 and vaulted - and this unit has no problem cooling it down. Moving it downstairs and upstairs is a challenge because it is heavy - you need two people or one very strong person. It does have handles so that made it much easier. If you are moving it room to room it has wheels. The installation is very simple and looks much better than a window unit. Overall we are so glad we purchased this unit - it was worth every penny

Portable Air Conditioner

Hi I wasnt exactly happy with what was happening with my purchase. I purchase one of LGs biggest BTU devices. I live in the South where you have to have cool air most of the year. I chose to go with another LG air conditioner because. I purchased one 4 years ago and it worked like a champ for 4 years straight. So the item was purchased in Feb 4th and installed March 11. During the end of April. Id come home from work and the room wouldnt be cool. In a 200 sq ft room with 8 ft ceilings. I started turning the temp down to the lowest setting. And that worked for a few days. And finally in the beginning of May the device stared flashing a code and the room wasnt cool. I guess one of the worst decisions I purchased it online. When customers make online purchases. your not allowed to take back to the store for replacement. So after calling multiple times to LG their customer support phone line is rigged to make you give up. It took LG days to contact me to get the process started. After a week went by - nothing. I call back this is a MASSIVE run around game. But either way 3 weeks after it stopped cooling an LG employee finally calls asking did I want a replacement or a refund. Theres no way I wanted a replacement considering how long this takes. This whole process took and 6.5 weeks to finally get a refund in my hand. Never again All customer should purchase appliances directly from a store. So they can show up and get a replacement same day.

Wont cool at all

I bought this and have only been able to use the fan. When turning it onto cool it gives a code that the service department says means I have too little or too much power. I believe this particular unit is not working correctly. I have been in contact with the service dept and they are planning to reimburse me for the unit as there are no service centers available in our area to service it. Also the case is not staying together at the bottom. Either the case is missing a screw or the case is broken where a screw should be holding it in.

I wish I could tell you how great this product is. Our weather has not been hot enough to try out yet. This is a replacement from my other LG portable a/c unit that lasted over 16 years Thats why I chose this product. We turned it on after hook-up and it seemed to work fine. Please get a hold of me late September. That is our hottest month here. I am sure it will perform just fine. LG products has not let me down yet.

Sleek And Very Cool

Its been a month since I purchased and Im quite happy. Very quiet cools my large room with a 10 foot ceiling. The Wi-Fi works flawlessly so I can activate prior to my arrival or monitor usage remotely. I highly recommend this unit that looks great in my house and performs to my expectations.

This a/c is way better than my previous brand a/c that didnt last. This LG works fantastic Cools my living room and bedroom within just a few minutes. It has all the features and is an excellent a/c. I highly recommend it to anyone who needs a quality portable a/c.

Worth it But plan for space near a window.

I have one room that is about 10 degrees Fahrenheit hotter than the rest of the house in the summer. This appliance can cool a 180 sq. ft. room to comfortable levels within minutes. Set up was easy. Operation is straight forward One thing that I would like readers to consider when making a purchase decision for this unit is that this needs to be close to a window. The power cord and exhaust duct are short. And the unit needs to be plugged in directly into an outlet. So plan to occupy space near the window and check for outlets near the window.

Quiet and powerful

I replaced a perfectly good portable same size with this in hopes that the LG would be quieter as it is used in the bedroom. The LG is quiet and you do not hear the cycling of the compressor. No more shake or cycle noise. Fan noise is acceptable . Easy to install so you dont have to leave it in your windowjust put the exhaust hose in the window when you need to use the unit.

Awesome A/C unit. Complete with all components to get your home cool right out of the box. Included remote control or Wi-Fi. No more swamp cooler summers The dry feature is a bonus on rainy days and those muggy cooped up inside days are over Cleaner cooler air and my allergies have improved. I should have bought this years ago.

I am very satisfied with my portable AC unit and feel it is good quality and hope the high price tag means it will last many years. The settings are useful and easy to use the unit is powerful and cools a medium-sized room well and produces very cold air. The window installation kit is good and versatile for different sizes and styles of windows. It is a pretty quiet AC unit especially on the lower settings which I appreciate being sensitive to noises. I havent yet needed the additional features of fan or dehumidifier but I like that I could use it for more than one purpose. The design of the unit is quite smart so that it can be placed closer to the wall and/or stored more easily without the hose being bulky. Note a 3-prong outlet is required.

Great Purchase

i bought this in prepararition for the summer but alreasy have used it a few times it is not loud at all having the wifi feature was a bit more pricey but its worth it you can turn it on while you are not home and cool down the apartment to have it cool down during hot temperatures I highly recommend it you wont be dissapointed also the install is very easy also the size is not huge you can set it up in a corner and doesnt look ugly very slim for a portable AC unit

Superb Performance

This is my second unit. The first performed so well that I bought another one. It is quiet energy-efficient and remarkably effective. My living space is 1000 square feet open plan with 12-foot ceilings. The first one cooled the entire place to 74 degrees when the outside temperature was over 100. Thats more than twice the capacity LG claims I decided to get another one as a back-up in case the Northwest experiences another heat dome like the historic one in 2021. Great product

Excellent air flow and very quiet. The holder on the back for the window slides and the upright storage position for the hose are excellent design ideas and make winter storage much easier.

Great portable Ac

So far works very well. I had a different one for 12 years and it finally gave out. This is a lot more quiet and efficient. The wifi control via the app is awesome. Also the Integration to my google home is nice.
